I love NR2K3, but it has it's downfalls, No double file restart's no duel qualifying and other small stuff, One thing that drives me nuts is the splitter sinking into the track,And now rfactor 2 is better on fps then nr2k3. The reason for this Challenge is to show that rfactor 2 can be a up to date NR2K3. Please note you need to have the stock car plugins installed, and you need to make your own race event for the stock car rules to work right. I would like feed back to tell me where you see the down fall from rfactor 2.

Ok now with the NR2019 Mod released, I challenge every one to give North side Raceway,A race!!! North side is Richmond raceway. New game engines, new tracks, and new mods with NASCAR style oval racing rules and well tuned ai are just around the corner.some of that is Studio397 some of that is Reiza. The future is really beginning to look good for another sim to step in and take some of NR2003's fanbase.but it will be the older folks with some cash to spend.Īnother thing happening on the "other sims" front where NASCAR mods are concerned, one sim entity has set it's sites on iRacing when it comes to taking their market share of the NASCAR folks. RFactor 2's NASCAR fan base is growing, NASCAR mods are gaining attention from the mod maker crowd. Many folks don't realize you actually have to "turn on" oval racing rules in rF2. rF2 has prerhaps the most accurate tire physics of any sim out there, that requires extra work on mods and even tracks.

They don't want to take any time to learn how to get around another sim.ĪND as you stated the tracks are built around multiplayer rather than running solo with ai.Īgain Thunder98 is correct when he says rF2 is more difficult to mod, but not impossible by any means. You can't just jump in an rFactor 2 stockcar mod and expect it to be "just like NR2003" There is where the rub is for most folks.
The ai arguments aren't that true as far as my experience goes. Thunder98 is correct, NR2003 has most of the NASCAR eras covered. Most folks that have issues with any sim but NR2003 have never really giving anything else a fair shot.and they are loving their "free" game.
